Collision Conference 2023

The event in Toronto was attended by more than 35 thousand visitors.

The event was attended by more than 35 thousand investors, founders, company representatives, and journalists from all over the world. The official Ukrainian delegation at Collision 2023 was represented by a separate stand, where product and service companies presented their projects and the technological ecosystem of Ukraine.

Side event: Ukrainian Tech Ecosystem: the Power of Digital Partnerships

Description: RESILIENT, innovative, outstanding, powerful. Come and meet Ukraine and its tech sector, which has proven to be not only home for multiple tech talents, though has also shown unprecedented development. Despite the full scale invasion, export of IT services has shown growth and sustained the level of 10% in 2022.

This session will showcase Ukraine's tech ecosystem, digital transformation trends and vision for the future. A special focus will be given to Ukrainian service and product companies which embody resilience of the Ukrainian tech, as well as opportunities for international partnerships due to enhanced support and dialogue between the business and the state.

Description: This session will showcase Ukraine's digital transformation and vision for the future, the resilience of the Ukrainian tech sector, and the opportunities for international partnerships with this growing sector.

Location: Beanfield Centre.

Format: panel discussion and networking.

The goal is to present the Ukrainian tech ecosystem and show the investment opportunities of Ukraine.

The results of the Ukrainian delegation:

  • In total, the companies held more than 500 meetings with private investors and funds
  • Held a number of meetings with Alchemist accelerator, OneEleven, VentureLab, DMZ, and their mentors
  • Had negotiations with universities that offer collaboration and R&D programs for startups: the University of Calgary, University of Toronto, Laurentium University
  • We have reached preliminary agreements on partnerships with the world-famous J.P. Morgan Chase, Invest Canada, food companies Zoho, and Intuit
  • Some companies are considering the possibility of opening an office in Canada and cooperation with representatives of the departments of economic development and innovation support in the province of Ontario and Northern Ontario
