Ukraine presented its startup ecosystem for the first time at the legendary TechCrunch Disrupt 2022.

TechCrunch Disrupt 2022, one of the most famous events for startups in the world, has ended in San Francisco. Every year, TechCrunch Disrupt 2022 is attended by 10,000 participants from 125 countries - startup founders, developers, investors, and other experts. The official Ukrainian delegation took part in the conference for the first time and presented the Ukrainian Startup Pavilion.

For three days, the Ukrainian pavilion was lined up to hear the teams' pitches. The startups received pre-order offers, invitations to continue communication for further investment, and introductions to the media. The delegation also met with Anthony Blinken, the Stanford Student Association, the most famous accelerators in the Valley.

In addition, during TechCrunch Disrupt 2022, the organizers of the pavilion held a private meeting with venture capitalists and Ukrainian startups - Ukrainian Tech Night.

The side event was complemented by a panel discussion, during which the participants discussed the business environment and the need to create investment and venture funds, as well as revise restrictions in the industry. The panel was joined by:

  • Viktoriya Tigipko, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Startup Fund;
  • Oleksandr Borniakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine;
  • Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine
  • Alexander Griban;
  • founder of Augmented Pixels Vitaliy Honcharuk.

The discussion was moderated by TechCrunch editor-in-chief Mike Butcher.

The Ukrainian delegation was organized by Ukrainian Bridge and Ukrainian Startup Fund. The delegation was supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, and the USAID Competitive Economy Program.
