Connecting with Ukraine: Co-creation with Strong Partnership of Ukraine and Japan

The Ukrainian delegation was represented by 10 startups, two IT companies, Ukrainian Startup Fund, and 1991 Accelerator. Startups of the delegation had the opportunity to present their products during pitching and at the booth of the expo area.

The event was aimed at demonstrating the achievements of the Ukrainian tech ecosystem, highlighting the needs of innovative companies, and presenting teams planning to conquer the Japanese market.

The main part of the event was the Pitch Day of startups Wantent, Datrics.AI, Deus Robotics, Osavul, Djooky, V-Art, MISU and Esper Bionics, which presented their technologies and talked to everyone interested in their products at the stands.

In general, the team had the opportunity to meet with leading institutions and corporate market leaders, including JETRO, JICA, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Rakuten, Nippon, Gakken Holdings, Japan Bank of Interational Cooperation, and Deloitte to discuss joint plans and projects.
In addition, the delegation took part in the Japan-Ukraine Conference on Economic Development and Reconstruction, during which more than 55 agreements and memorandums were signed in priority sectors totaling more than $100 million, including $20 million for Horizon Capital under JICA's Horizon Capital Growth Fund IV.

We are confident that this is only the beginning of a great cooperation between Ukraine and Japan in the innovation sector.
